As you already know we recently had a photoshoot with Jonnye Bower. We can’t thank her enough for capturing such great moments of our family.

Jonnye Bower is a local photographer here in the DFW area. We had her take some family pictures this weekend and she graciously sent us a few sample shots. There are many more to come, but these were so good I just had to post them.

The kids really enjoyed our time at Panama City Beach. Here are a few pictures of them enjoying the sand and the sun.

We set up a treasure hunt on the beach for the young scallywags. They all seemed to have a great time. Apparently the best part of the whole thing was that the treasure chest contained some snacks along with the booty.
All that digging is hungry work!

We recently had our family pictures taken but these ones didn't make the cut. Janelle thought these were worth a second look. Enjoy!

We recently went camping in the mountains of New Mexico. Everyone had a great time, horseback riding, fishing and generally relaxing by the campfire.

Ian completed his first set of classes at the local gymnastics school.
He passed with flying colors, and is especially good at:

Ian is now officially too big for his tricycle. After some hard decision making, he picked out his new red, 16", bicycle. It only took him about three tries to get things figured out, and he we off to the races.
Update: Ian has now had his first crash. On his way to the park, he could not decide to go left or right. Failing to make a choice, he went off the curb and over the handle bars. He was wearing a helmet but he still managed to get a large bruise just above the eye. Although injured he demanded that he get to finish his ride to the park, which he did!
What did we do when we went to Georgetown?
You know, just the usual stuff...

Ian's first birthday went off without a hitch. After much hard work and planning by Elaina we got everything setup early Sunday morning. The monkey theme was a hit, with the individual monkey cakes the crowning touch.
The guests arrived around 10:30am and the kids all had a great time playing together. Much to Ian's delight there were presents. He sat with his mom and dutifully opened them all.
To top off the party Ian had his very own monkey cake. He ate with gusto, grabbing handfuls cake, finally plunging in face first.

A few weeks ago we went on a trip. I wasn't sure how it would go since I had never been on an airplane before, but I checked out the cockpit and everything them seemed in order. After take off all passengers kept commenting on how cute I was, which was really rather boring after a while, so I slept the rest of the trip.
Dad arrived a few days later and then the fun really began. Not only did I have Mom, Dad and Grandma at my beck and call, but we did a whole bunch of things I had never done before.
Then the very next day, we drove up to the north shore where Tammy, Scott and Hadley were staying. We got to spend the night in their bungalow on the beach and the next day we saw the surfers try to ride the really big waves. We thought it looked like so much fun that we decided to try it out for our selves when we got back to our hotel.
After that it was time to go home. I really didn't want to because it was so nice to be outside all the time and it's really just too cold at home to do that at this time of year. But I guess that's okay because Mom said that we will be sure to come back again soon.
