Ian has never really liked my belly button much and loves to kick at it as much as possible. He has gotten a bit big to kick it now, so he prefers to get behind it with his bottom and push as hard as he can. John has decided this is a fun game and pushes my belly button back in. John usually gets in trouble because, while I love that he is playing with his son, I am caught in the middle and usually end up hurt (Ian is pretty strong). The whole thing really is cute, and my belly button is completely flat now, so I don't know how it could possibly bother Ian, but he continues with this game.
Mostly John has been great, but fatherhood is a learning process and so far these are things that he has been instructed not to say in front of any pregnant person even as a joke:
* Fat
* Chubby
* Waddle
He has learned this the hard way by referring to me or our neighbors at some point throughout our pregnancies and has since become a complete gentleman.
Week 38 and Still Going Strong
Well we are down to the wire at week 38. Only 2 more weeks to go until the official due date (August 1st), we'll see if we can make it. Mean while our both neighbors had their babies. Steve & Karen on Wednesday the 13th. Scott & Tammy on the Friday 15th. So we are now the only ones watching the paint dry.
